Our Story
My name is Rasheada Fitzgibbons, and I believe that the power to save lives shouldn't be limited to those wearing scrubs.
For over nine years as a Trauma and ER nurse, I've stood at the intersection of life and death countless times. I've seen the profound difference that one person with the right knowledge can make—and the heartbreak when that knowledge isn't there.
This experience taught me something crucial: the most important medical intervention often happens before the ambulance arrives. It happens when a coworker starts CPR on a colleague, when a parent responds correctly to a choking child, when a neighbor acts instead of freezes during a cardiac emergency.
That's why I founded Safe Hands Resuscitation. My mission extends far beyond teaching CPR techniques—I'm building communities of confident, capable responders who understand that they already possess the most important qualification for saving lives: the willingness to act.
Through trauma-informed training that prepares people for both the technical and emotional realities of emergencies, Safe Hands is creating a network of everyday heroes. Because when someone's life hangs in the balance, their survival shouldn't depend on chance—it should depend on a community that's ready!
